On a serious note...


No thoughts about games or gamer culture today. Just want to take a second to keep things in perspective. A lot has been going on in Tunisia and now Egypt over these past few weeks. Whether you follow politics or not, support or denounce a particular person, place, or government, I think we can all take a second to wish good luck and safety to people who are surrounded by unrest and chaos.

I say good luck to these people, and wish them all the best!

More fun posts to follow soon, but today, a friendly but serious message!

    it's getting real over there. Hope they can achieve the change they want, without too many people dying in the process. Death toll is like 60 something people so far...

    Yes egypt should be interesting for the next few months. How things turn out. Actually that whole arab world will experience change. Hopefully for the better.

    I think we should also wish good luck to the old egyptian artefacts
    They rested in a pyramid for more than 2000 years and not just for some idiot to hit it with a molotov cocktail
    Millions of tourists visit egypt every year for their artefacts, if some rioters destroy them, the tourists won't come anymore and they will be in a world of shit, with or without their president

    I really feel badly for the people in Egypt, it's really terrible to hear about all that. At least it shows people are willing to stand up to their government.

    That government is definitely one that needs to come down. When you compare how they are going about it compared to most uprisings that involve riots... so far they are probably the safest and most effective yet. I hope they get what they need as soon as possible.
